Meet our Staff
We are a group of people from all walks of life. We have come from different parts of the country. We are a great blend of long time local residents, newcomers to the community, and shorter term military families. We have all come together in the common belief that the Bible is the unique Word of God, given to reveal Jesus Christ as God’s eternal Son. Click here for our Statement of Faith and our Core Values.
Dave loves the opportunity to give pastoral leadership to our ministries at Sanctuary. He believes that there is no greater joy than being a part of a church family where lives are being changed for eternity. Dave is married to Lauren and with her delights in their four adult children (two married), and five grandchildren (makes for lots of great family texting).
On a good day off, Dave enjoys nothing more than an out-to-eat breakfast with Lauren and a hike up one of our beautiful coastal canyons to a lookout over the Pacific.
Tyler joined the staff in July of 2018 as the Associate Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries. Prior to coming to Sanctuary Tyler and his wife, Sarah were missionaries for 8 years and lived in India and Romania for portions of that time. He has over 10 years of experience working with young people. His desire is to help students work through making their faith their own.
Tyler loves spending time with his wife Sarah and their 3 year old son Eleazar. Tyler enjoys all things sports. He loves to play them, watch them, talk about them, etc....
Orville Myers, pastor, Cachagua Bible Church. Grateful God has opened the door for this church plant in Cachagua community that has never had an established church before - as far as we know!
Passionate about loving the lost on the peninsula and out in the valley. Grateful for my three sons Tim, Dan, and Joseph - delighted with my daughter-in-law Ashleigh and grandson, Knox!
Amazed at the way Jesus is making a difference out here in the lives of individuals and the life of the church.
Patty serves as our Office Administrator and Bookkeeper. She does a great job keeping our congregation informed with newsletters, bulletins, and emails. Patty loves to scrapbook and craft, hang out with the grandkids and spending time with the girls in the youth group. She and Brad have been at Sanctuary since 1986.
Ginger Kent is married to Richard Kent and has two grown sons. She loves to spend time playing piano, singing & searching for music that will enrich our SBCCV Congregation in worship!
As the daughter of a pastor, Ginger grew up singing, playing instruments and being involved in church life.
In her “free” time, she helps in her husband’s office, love to walk, read, cook, and spend time with friends and family.
Carmél is our children's ministry director, serving alongside a wonderful team.
Originally from South Africa, and more recently from New England, she and her husband Anthony are now raising their 4 girls on the Peninsula. With all this beautiful, mild weather, they have a newfound family activity of hiking, and enjoy biking too. One might hear the Grillo girls breaking into song fairly often, and so Carmél really enjoys serving on the Sanctuary worship team.
Brad serves Sanctuary in lots of ways. He has been our AWANA commander for long enough that he has been blessed to see generations of kids and family’s trained in the Scriptures by lots of committed volunteers. Brad loves kids and especially loves helping them learn the truth about Jesus.
Brad and Patty raised their 2 daughters at Sanctuary and now enjoy watching their 8 grandkids grow.
Brad also serves us by looking after our beautiful campus and keeping our grounds and facilities in tip top shape.
