As followers of Christ, our purpose is to:

• Exalt God

• Establish believers in their faith
• Encourage believers in the fellowship of Christ, and
• Equip believers for ministry

Who are we?
We are a group of people from all walks of life. We have come from different parts of the country. We are a great blend of long time local residents, newcomers to the community, and shorter term military families. And we have all come together in the common belief that the Bible is the unique Word of God, given to reveal Jesus Christ as God’s eternal Son. It is He that we gather to worship. Here on this campus, in homes, in offices and restaurants across the peninsula, we meet on
Sundays and throughout the week with opportunities for people of every age and stage to learn, grow and fellowship in their faith in Christ. Come and join with us!

Where did we come from?
SBCCV was started in 1935 in Monterey by a group of Italian fishermen. In 1965, the city of Monterey wanted the church’s land, so the land was sold and we moved to Carmel Valley. In February of 2003 we called a new pastor, David Hong, and merged with Peninsula Bible Fellowship to become the church family you will meet today.
